Ecological sustain-ability
SBTi
SBTi (Science-based Targets Initiative) is engaged in the scientific determination of emission reduction targets for companies and organizations. The background to this is the need to limit global warming to well below 2°C, preferably 1.5°C. With our binding SBTi Commitment, we are proactively facing up to this challenge and looking to the future with comprehensive sustainability targets.
Since 2023, we have been officially committed to the science-based, international sustainability program SBTi. Sustainable thinking and action have always been central to our values - both in a social and ecological sense. As part of an important global program, the SBTi Commitment further underlines our move towards future-oriented action.
The SBTi Commitment commits us to reducing around 46.2% of our emissions by 2030. And we are going one step further; thanks to a goal-oriented exchange with our international network, we will go the extra mile together to promote sustainability in the Swiss food industry as a role model.

Our climate target
In line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), we pursue ambitious, scientifically validated climate targets to do our part for global climate protection.
With the SBTi, we have committed to reducing the absolute greenhouse gas emissions of Scope 1 (direct emissions from energy consumption) and Scope 2 (indirect emissions from energy consumption) by 4.2% every year by 2030. This goal has been validated by the SBTi. Together with act Cleantech Agentur Schweiz, we have developed a decarbonisation roadmap for this, which shows us a path to successful decarbonisation.

Our progress – 2024 monitoring
Thanks to the implementation of initial decarbonisation measures, particularly in the area of mobile combustion and electricity consumption, we have already been able to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 62% since the base year and meet our target early on.To ensure that this reduction lasts long term, we will implement further measures in the coming years and continue to closely monitor and analyse our emissions. We are determined to further expand our contribution to climate protection.
Our company growth is reflected in an increased demand for goods and services – and therefore also in an increase in Scope 3 emissions. At the same time, this growth gives us the opportunity to use our influence along the value chain in a targeted manner and to further promote sustainable practices among suppliers and partners.
