An olive dream come true

There is no other oil that we use so often. Whether for salads, frying or baking: the much sought-after olive oil is always present in our kitchen and in the store cupboard.
For us, olive oil is life!
Therefore, we are working closely with the olive oil experts at Rivière d'Or to put the liquid all-rounder in the well-deserved spotlight and bring the valuable knowledge about olive oil to the people.

Let us introduce: Rivière d'Or

Founded in 1928 in Moknine, in the Sahel region of Tunisia, the Loued family has inherited from its fifth-generation ancestors the passion and talent to produce a delicious juice from this emblematic fruit.
From the groves to your table, the utmost care is invested in every step of the process to meet strict international quality standards and preserve the authenticity of the product.
The olives will be picked carefully and at the best level of maturity and no pesticides are used. Harvesting is done manually by hand to keep the fruit healthy, avoid damaging the tree and preserve the aromatic flavour of the olives. These are the first requirements for ensuring the production of high-quality oil.
On the same day, the olives are transported in ventilated boxes to the Rivière d'Or mills, where they are carefully selected, defoliated, washed with clean water, crushed and blended.
The oil is separated from the olive paste by cold pressure to preserve the taste and aroma.
The extraction process is operated by modern stainless-steel machinery and the oil is stored in underground ceramic tanks to provide customers with a high-quality olive oil.
Rivière d'Or has set itself the task of supplying olive oil of the best quality. They have the experience and knowledge of four generations. Rivière d'Or always passes on its many years of knowledge: from the farmer to the retailer.

Diabetes
It has been proven that a diet rich in olive oil, among other things, is very effective for diabetics. It contributes to the reduction of "bad" low-density lipoproteins and at the same time improves blood sugar control and insulin sensitivity.
 
Heart diseases
Olive oil has been shown to lower total blood cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides without altering HDL cholesterol levels. HDL cholesterol has a protective effect and prevents the formation of fatty deposits.
 
Blood pressure
Recent studies suggest that regular consumption of olive oil can lower blood pressure.
